Question Help !! Advice for an Aussie !!

Hi everyone, I'm Amers, I'm new to the site. I've had a bit of a look around the site and thought it best to start my own thread.

I need help with this. My sister lives in Mozambique (Africa) and would like to buy a 2nd hand Toyota Prado (preferably) from Japan for $10,000A or less and get it shipped to Mozambique.

I am looking for recommendations for best websites to look at and buy cars, and/or companies/business's to work with or through. for buying and shipping.

I have never done anything like this before, any and all thoughts, idea's and help will be appreciated !!

Cheers !!

Welcome to the site, generally any Exporter in Japan should be able to ship to Mozambique or anywhere in the world where the car is legal.

I'd recommend buying a car through the Japanese auctions from either a discount Exporter or one which does some personalized service/handholding (I'd recommend this if you don't want to learn a lot about the Export process and selecting a good vehicle).

There are many reviews of different Exporters on this site so it's a great place to start and ask about any company you're wondering about.

One thing I'll caution you on is that the dishonest companies seem to target people in Africa for fraud (which means some companies take your money and don't send any car). Make sure you're dealing with an honest company first and verify through some trusted reviews that this company is actually legitimate (and I don't mean through referrals that they offer).

Feel free to ask any questions and let us know how it goes. If you chose the right Exporter and do the research it should be easy and you should get a great vehicle for a great price.
