Default Cima vs Crown

I just spent two months in Japan and saw many Toyota Crowns which I had never heard of before. I also saw for the first time a Nissan シーマ (Shima) or Cima, as we call it here. I can't find much info about it online, aside from it having come here only as the Infiniti Q45. Just wondering if anyone else has experience with this vehicle, specs, etc. Specifically models manufactured from June 1996-2001. Are they reliable? Peppy? Easy to mod engine/body? Gassy? I'm looking to import one or the other (Crown or Cima) and was hoping to get some insight on the two. Crown seems to be a little more popular, but if the info is on hand, then it would be nice to hear about it as well. Thank you!

I feel the Crown would probably be more reliable but CIMA/Q45 is fairly reliable. The sportier of the two would no doubt by the Nissan CIMA.
