JDMVip.com Contacts JUMVEA To Involve Japan In Transport Canada's Trade Issue Regarding the 15-Year Import Rule -

JUMVEA (Japan Used Motor Vehicle Exporters Association)

We are currently reaching out to as many Japanese organizations as we possibly can in order to get the Japanese side involved in this important trade issue regarding the importation of JDM Cars.

The managing director of JUMVEA  "Toshio Kimura" instantly knew that this issue was not about safety but is rather a clever way to effectively "embargo" Japanese Used Cars from entering Canadian waters.

Please read his correspondence from the bottom to the top, where the bottom most message is our initial contact with him.

They have been discussing the issue at their board meetings and we are awaiting their plan of action regarding Transport Canada's attempted embargo of our beloved JDM cars.
============================================
Hello Toshio

Thank you for your reply.
We have our own website http://jdmvip.com to educate Canadians about
this and we are also going to send feedback to transport Canada.

There is also a group called IVOAC who is dedicated to stopping the
embargo http://ivoac.ca

There is no auto dealers association in Canada that will help
unfortunately. The major auto dealers do not like JDM imports as it
creates more competition. We believe that the big auto dealers are
trying to convince the government to embargo these cars to save their
own business.

We will continue to do what we can, but we hope JUMVEA can get the
Japanese government involved, as we feel this is also a major trade
issue between Japan and Canada.

Thanks for your help and we look forward to working with JUMVEA to stop
this embargo.

Regards
